چکیده

Then minimization may be performed on the interval [to, tl] only, where it is understood that x and u are periodically extended to [to, co). These periodic extensions satisfy the system equation (l.l), since x, is a complete state for this functional differential system. Hence it is sufficient to consider the optimal periodic control problem (l.l), (1.2) on [to, tI] with “mixed” boundary condition (1.3). Optimal periodic control problems for systems governed by ordinary differential equations have been studied since the 1960s where the original motivation came from chemical engineering (in particular, control of continuous stirred tank reactors). Most of the applications lie in this area and

Optimal Control of Neutral Functional-Differential Inclusions

This paper deals with optimal control problems for dynamical systems governed by constrained functional-differential inclusions of neutral type. Such control systems contain time-delays not only in state variables but also in velocity variables, which make them essentially more complicated than delaydifferential (or differential-difference) inclusions. Our main goal is to derive necessary optim...

BIFURCATION ANALYSIS OF A DDE MODEL OF THE CORAL REEF

‎In this paper‎, ‎first we discuss a local stability analysis of model was introduced by P‎. ‎J‎. ‎Mumby et‎. ‎al‎. ‎(2007)‎, ‎with $frac{gM^{2}}{M+T}$ as the functional response term‎. ‎We conclude that the grazing intensity is the important parameter to control the existence or extinction of the coral reef‎. ‎Next‎, ‎we consider this model under the influence of the time delay as the bifurcat...

Mathematical Model for Bi-objective Maximal Hub Covering Problem with Periodic Variations of Parameters

The problem of maximal hub covering as a challenging problem in operation research. Transportation programming seeks to find an optimal location of a set of hubs to reach maximum flow in a network. Since the main structure's parameters of the problem such as origin-destination flows, costs and travel time, change periodically in the real world applications, new issues arise in handling it. In t...

Continuous Adjoint-Based Optimization of Hyperbolic Equations with Nonlinear Differential Equation Constraints on Periodic Boundary Conditions

This paper presents a continuous adjoint-based optimization theory for a general closed-loop transport hyperbolic model controlled via a periodic boundary control to minimize a multi-objective cost functional. The periodic boundary control is subject to a nonlinear differential equation constraint, thus resulting in a coupling between the hyperbolic equation and the ordinary differential equati...

Model Predictive Optimal Control of a Time-Delay Distributed-Parameter System

This paper presents an optimal control method for a class of distributed-parameter systems governed by first order, quasilinear hyperbolic partial differential equations that arise in many physical systems. Such systems are characterized by time delays since information is transported from one state to another by wave propagation. A general closed-loop hyperbolic transport model is controlled b...
